Flippening Otters NFT Integrates Multiple Chainlink Services to Reliably Mint NFTs
Flippening Otters are very happy to announce our integration with Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) and the planned intent to use Chainlink Keepers on the Ethereum network. The Flippening Otters are a collection of NFTs, which details the history of Ethereum from the very beginning until the present day. It consists of 9,999 uniquely generated Otter NFTs at launch and 1 final “Great Flippening Otter’’ to be gifted to a random wallet that holds any Flippening Otter at the time of the anticipated “Flippening.” The “Flippening’’ refers to a possible future event where the market capitalization of Ethereum surpasses that of Bitcoin, and this integration with Chainlink plays a key role in our NFT project.

The first integration consists of the use of Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function), which is a provably-fair and verifiable random number generator (RNG) solution designed for smart contracts. This integration will enable Flippening Otters’ smart contract to access randomness without compromising on security or usability, thus helping ensure that each NFT was minted randomly and fairly.
The second integration is a key part of the project, and it will consist of using Chainlink Keepers. Chainlink Keepers went live on Ethereum mainnet on August 5 of this year and they enable smart contracts to automate key functions and event-driven tasks in a highly reliable, decentralized, and cost-efficient manner. Flippening Otters are a collection of 10,000 NFTs but only 9,999 will be released at launch. The use of Chainlink Keepers will allow the smart contract to auto-mint the last “Great Flippening Otter ‘’ at the time of the “Flippening ‘’. The “Great Flippening Otter” will be gifted to a random address that holds any Flippening Otter based upon confirmation from Chainlink Keepers of the Flippening.
The third integration is data feeds from Chainlink Data Feeds for the BTC and ETH market capitalizations. Chainlink Keepers will use the data feeds to determine whether the Flippening has happened and whether to mint the last “Great Flippening Otter ‘’.
